General requirements of the Race of Psychology


Exigencies of admission

· PAA with minimum of 500 points. This value corresponds to the established minimum to postulate in the system of universities that are governed by the PAA, and is in addition the value average to the measurement system. Therefore, with this exigency it is being prevented that who study psychology has at least aptitudes of a level average in the national context.

· compatible Health mental and physical (this supposes special procedures of admission and/or administrative mechanisms that allows to suspend the continuation of the studies of students who present/display incompatible problems of health with the professional exercise).


Curricular structure and exigencies of graduation

· Five years of study with 4,000 hours educational actual minims, including lectivas classes, practical exercises and the professional practice (hourly educational: 45 minutes).

· minimum Exigency of 350 hours chronological of professional practice (at least a semester with 20 hours weekly of practice more 2 hours weekly of supervision)

· Degree: it does not require necessarily practical professional

· Degree: approval of all the branches, more practical professional and final evaluation through an examination.

Administrative structure

· the position of Director of an institution of psychology must correspond to a professional psychologist or another professional with doctorate in Psychology. Additionally, the person who holds east position will have to credit 6 years of academic experience at least.

Academic structure

· the academic plant must be of a size adapted to the amount of taken care of students and the number of subjets that are offered. One settles down that a professor will be able to at the most dictate 3 different subjets by semester. The professors must demonstrate to have a competition or preparation adapted for the matters that they distribute.

· the times of hiring must include hours to take care of students.
