Minimum exigencies in the formation of the Psychologist

BASIC AREA OF FORMATION

General mission of this area is to provide to the student methodologic, biosocial and philosophical formation basic cultural that qualifies it to include/understand in a contextual frame humanist the task of our discipline.

The area must incorporate the following obligatory subjets:

· Statistical and methodology of the investigation.
Subjet that prepares to the student for the investigation of new knowledge and the objective and critical evaluation of the already existing one.

· Neurofisiología or neurobiología
Subjets destined to provide knowledge of the biological bases of the conduct.

· Sociology - Anthropology - Philosophy
Matters that will allow the sociocultural development of the student. They must be present like individual subjets or parts of other subjets.

They will be considered like complementary and/or elective, that will not be able to replace to the previous subjets of this area. Matters like:
· General Biology
· Mathematical
· English
· Computation

They must be offered in obligatory form without subjet format from the second semester of the race and throughout her, activities of personal development and the problematización of the ethical aspects of the professional performance in everything and each one of the training areas including the investigation. This will allow to the student the holder of Psychologist to count not only on the competitions but with the creativity and essential ethics for whom it works preferredly in interpersonal relations.


AREA OF GENERAL FORMATION IN PSYCHOLOGY

The courses of this area contain the conceptual, theoretical and methodologic foundation of psychology. Each one of the obligatory subjets that they are indicated in this area supposes a semester of studies at least (except for when something different is indicated).

· General Psychology
General organization of the behavior. Processes and psychological functions. Main psychological constructos that form the unit of the psychic thing.

· Psychology of the Development (2 courses of a semester)
The problematic one of the human development. Subjects of the psychological development. Cognitivo development, of the affective language, social and moral from the birth to the third age.

· Psychology of the personality
Determinants, theories and styles of personality. Revision of the main theories about the personality. Conceptualización and integration of the concepts of dimensions, factors and characteristics of the personality.
· psychological Theory and systems
Historical and comparative revision of the main theoretical approaches in psychology.


Subarea of psychological processes

· Learning
Historical, philosophical and anthropological antecedents of the conductual theory in Psychology. Its scientific conception of Psychology and the main principles and basic processes that are come off her. Basic psychological processes in the conductual theory. Main theoretical derivations.

· cognitivos Processes
Antecedents of the cognitivo paradigm in Psychology. Revision of the main cognitivos processes as well as of the theories and models that explain them.

· affective Processes and motivation
Revision of basic the affective and motivacionales processes as well as of the theories and models that explain them. Relation between cognition and affectivity.

· Psicopatología
Characterization of the psicopatológicos phenomena in its descriptive and structural aspects. Psicopatológicos pictures.

Biological Subarea

· Psicobiología
Biological and physiological bases of the behavior and psychological phenomena of the human being.

Social Subarea

· Social Psychology
Foundations of the behavior, interdependence, influence and social cognition from a psycho-social perspective. Analysis of the social influence in different levels, from the intraindividual thing to the intergroup thing.

Subarea of measurement and evaluation

· Technical of psychological evaluation for intellectual aspects and the personality (2 courses of a semester).
Main techniques of psychological evaluation of the intellectual operation, I interest, aptitudes and personality in children and adults. Application of tests, correction and interpretation of results.
Minimum development of skills to handle evaluation situations.

· Psicodiagnóstico
Concept of diagnosis in the context of the main theoretical currents. Characterization of the psicodiagnóstico process. Theoretical and methodologic bases for the handling of techniques of the psychological diagnosis.


AREA OF PROFESSIONAL FORMATION IN PSYCHOLOGY

The general mission of this level of the formation of a psychologist is to provide to the student theoretical and practical knowledge, interventivas abilities and strategies that allow him to face the different scopes that define the professional task.

This level must incorporate the following obligatory areas:

Clinical Psychology: (it must include infanto-youthful clinical psychology of adults and)
On the base of previous subjets like Psicopatología and Te'cnicas de Psychological Evaluacio'n, the area of clinical formation, at least two semesters of duration, it must set out three basic objectives:
- the development of diagnósticas abilities,
- the identification of possible courses of intervention and
- the development of abilities to establish an aid relation.
This area must show the existing theoretical amplitude in clinical psychology, although it can be committed with a specific theoretical line. In this last case, this option would have clearly to be specified to the postulantes and the interested community.

Educational Psychology: (or) asignatura(s), of at least two semesters, must give to theoretical knowledge - for the problematización and understanding of the educative and pedagogical process - and practitioners to develop to abilities and competitions to take part as much in the educative process from the perspective of scholastic psychology (upheavals of the learning, scholastic mediation, pedagogical relation, among others) like of educational psychology properly so (nature of the educative processes, its institutional and organizacional context). This area must give the tools for the work of the psychologist in relation to all the actors of the educative process (students, teachers, parents and proxies, educational institution, community).

Psychology of the Work and the Organizations: (or) asignatura(s), of at least two semesters, debe(n) to give to theoretical knowledge for the problematización and understanding of the nature and meaning of the human work and for the understanding and study of the human behavior in the surroundings of labor and nonlabor organizations. One is due to give knowledge and to develop to competitions for the professional intervention in the planning and management of the human resources and for the study and intervention at organizacional level.
